Gratitude is about more than taking a second to say “Thanks.” Gratitude shows true appreciation. This Thanksgiving, we want to say thank you to the community that supports our mission.
We recently had The Jeff Cobb Sr., Harbor for Heroes building dedication and ribbon cutting. With this new addition the Clanton location we will be able to offer medical services to child abuse victims in the three counties we serve. It is important for children to feel confident that their body is "ok" and healthy. This is part of the healing process. The medical suite includes a private entrance, waiting area and exam room. Child abuse victims can receive medical care to include a medical exam by a SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner). This medical care comes at no cost to the families.
The first floor of the new addition also includes a conference area where trainings and meetings can be held. The upstairs of The Jeff Cobb Sr., Harbor for Heroes provides staff offices and two new therapy rooms. The additional space with The Jeff Cobb Sr., Harbor for Heroes allows Butterfly Bridge CAC to better serve our community and the young brave heroes that come forward to tell their story and begin the healing process.
None of the work we do would be possible without you. With the support of community heroes, we are able to continue the mission of Butterfly Bridge CAC to offer a safe, child-friendly environment to children victimized by abuse or neglect as we provide restoration and justice in their lives.
This Thanksgiving we are especially thankful for you!
